The countdown to a new school year is on, and District 186 is excited to welcome students, families, staff, and community members to the 2nd Annual Community Back-to-School Event on Thursday, July 30, 2026.
The Community Back-to-School Event serves as a one-stop destination for families preparing for the upcoming school year while strengthening connections between schools, families, and the community.

Please RSVP so we know you will be attending the Family Picnic & New Owen Marsh Open House.
This year, we are excited to offer an open house at the new elementary school from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., giving families an opportunity to walk through the building with their student and explore the new space together.
Families can gather in the green space/ playground area at the current Owen Marsh for the family picnic.
We will call for different grade levels to come over to the new Owen Marsh starting at 11:30 a.m. to walk through and view the new space.
